Frequently Asked Questions

  • On arrival, you will be greeted by our friendly staff who will check you in, kit you up with all your appropriate gear and provide you with any pre-purchased paintballs and/or upgrade equipment. You are required to attend a compulsory safety briefing which will go through all the safety regulations for the day. Then the action starts! There will be short breaks between each game to wipe down the paint, refill your Paintballs and reset your tactics.

Paintballs, food and drink are not included in the cost of the OPCA Paintball tickets. When you book your paintballing party you will be asked to confirm each person’s first 100 paintballs for $11.99 per person, this way you will have 100 paintballs to start your day. Snacks and refreshments are available from our onsite shop and there are additional upgrade items available on the day.

We don’t permit any alcohol use on site. Any players found to be under the influence will be excluded from the games without refund and asked to leave the centre for their own safety.

At most OPCA Paintball centres you can, provided that the minimum spend has been met. If the minimum spending requirement has not been made, unfortunately we aren’t able to open a centre mid-week, which you will be notified of at the time of your enquiry. However an alternative venue or date will always be offered for you.

There is no minimum or maximum group size requirement – you can play paintball with any amount of people or individually if you prefer. Please be aware that to open a centre, we may require a minimum spend for the group of players you wish to book. Please enquire for specific requirements for each centre.

No, unfortunately not. Every OPCA Paintball centre has a limited capacity and player numbers need to be confirmed prior to the game day in order to organise equipment, catering arrangements, teams and the marshalling staff.

Almost every centre has an onsite shop where you can purchase a selection of refreshments and snacks.

Players can bring certain items of their own to national paintball centres, but it is always up to the Centre Manager whether or not you can use it. You can bring your own goggles but only if they have been manufactured specifically for paintball games and have not been altered in any way. Players are unable to bring their own paintball gun to the centre unless a private game has been arranged and the gun can operate from the gas canisters provided by the paintballing centre. The use is solely at the discretion of the Centre Manager, and all paintball guns are subject to a chronograph test before use. We do not allow players to bring their own gas or bottles on site for health and safety reasons.

Paintball games go ahead regardless of any inclement weather conditions (except in very extreme circumstances, in which case you will be notified). The games take place outdoors but there are sheltered seating areas in the base camp. In wet weather players may also bring waterproof clothing to wear under their paintball overalls.

Every customer is required to fill out a registration form before they can play paintball at our national centres. All players under the age of 16 are required to have a Parental Consent Form signed by a parent or guardian; we suggest that these forms are sent out with your invitations. Other parents should return their completed forms to the group organiser for them to bring to the centre on the day of your event. Don’t worry if you don’t have time to complete them before the day as our centres have spare registration forms which you can complete when you arrive.

We recommend that players wear comfortable, old clothing and to bring a change of clothes for the end of the day (personal belongings can be stored in our lockers which you can hire for the day). It’s strongly recommended that you wear walking boots with ankle support and a deep tread rubber soleas it can be muddy in the winter months. Some customers may choose comfort over safety and wear wellington boots. Armoured gloves can be bought from our onsite shop but you are welcome to bring your own. We accept PIN verified card payments however thesemay incur transaction fees so it is recommendedyou bring cash for any additional paintballs or food.

We will always offer you the closest possible alternative venues. The locations of pantiball centres are subject to change for reasons out of our control however Optimum Paintball Events will endeavour to find you a convienent alternative, if needed.

We strongly recommend that players wear sturdy walking boots with ankle support and a deep tread rubber sole, as it can get muddy and slippery out in the game zones.
